Nerd Nite Hamilton is where curiosity meets community.
We bring together passionate people to share what they know — and what they love — in short, sharp, wildly interesting talks. Science. Culture. Technology. Philosophy. Health. History. That niche obsession you didn’t know you cared about (until now).
Three speakers.
One night.
A room full of curious humans.
What We Do
Nerd Nite is a global event series that takes place in more than 100 cities around the world. Each event features three engaging talks designed to be smart, accessible, and just irreverent enough to be fun.
This isn’t a conference.
It’s ideas over drinks.
From 2023–2024, Nerd Nite Hamilton hosted an incredible range of talks — from robotics and lunar missions to psychology, healthcare design, chaos magick, environmental philosophy, and more.
Now, we’re stepping into our next chapter.
Fresh energy.
A new home.
Same curious spirit.
Who It’s For
Whether you’re a researcher, artist, engineer, founder, student, teacher, or simply someone who loves learning weird and wonderful things — you belong here.
You don’t have to be an expert.
You just have to be curious.
Want to Present?
Have a topic you could talk about for 15 minutes without boring a room?
We’re always looking for:
- Academics with a compelling side research obsession
- Creators and builders with a story
- Professionals who can translate complexity into clarity
- Passionate hobbyists who know too much about something niche
If that sounds like you, head to the Contact page. We’d love to hear from you.
What It Costs
We ask for a suggested $10 donation at the door.
All proceeds from the door will go to CityKidz, a Hamilton-based charitable organization dedicated to inspiring and equipping children living in low-income communities. Through mentorship, leadership development, and safe, supportive programming, CityKidz helps young people build confidence, resilience, and real opportunity for their futures.
Nerdy talks.
Good drinks.
22 feet of friendly competition.
And $10 that helps build stronger futures in Hamilton.
Be there and be square.
